Fill the GEICO Local Office Van with New School Supplies at Ethan Allen Hartsdale!!
The Sharing Shelf is teaming up with Ethan Allen and the GEICO Local Office in Yonkers to collect new backpacks and school supplies for low-income, local children and teenagers throughout the county. Between August 1 to 15 at the Ethan Allen at 152 South Central Avenue, Hartsdale.
Demand for The Sharing Shelf’s services has spiked more than 60% in the last few months as high inflation hurts lower-income families in Westchester County.
We need YOUR help. Please bring donations of new school supplies. The most needed back-to-school essentials are backpacks, three-subject notebooks, binders, filler paper, dividers, composition notebooks, index cards, post-it notes, scientific calculators, graphing calculators, markers, crayons, colored pencils, pens, pencils and erasers. All items must be new and unused.
You can donate financially online or purchase supplies directly through The Sharing Shelf’s Target registry. Bring those items to Ethan Allen or they can be shipped directly to us.
The goal is to distribute at least 1,500 backpacks that volunteers will stuff with school supplies through local non-profit organizations that work with families in need throughout Westchester County in time for back to school.
