Our annual “Backpacks to School Community Packing Day” will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Individuals, families, businesses, and community groups are invited to join The Sharing Shelf for a meaningful morning of service as we pack new backpacks filled with school supplies for local children.
This event is both a volunteer opportunity and a giving opportunity. Your donation reserves your volunteer spot and helps provide the backpacks and supplies students need to begin the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.
Please choose the giving level that matches the number of people attending with you. Additional generosity helps us reach even more children.
This event is open to volunteers ages 6 and older.
Please note: Children under 18 must be accompanied by their own parent or guardian.
