We are piloting a new initiative to pick-up your donations from your home, one neighborhood at a time and ask for a small donation to help us off-set our costs for the service.

We are partnering with 4 organizations this season – the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, Theodore D. Young Community Center in Greenburgh, Port Chester Community Gardens and FSW’s Quality in Action program
Introduce your child to the power of volunteering at our first Family Volunteer Day. We will be building hygiene kits and baby layette sets and then creating inspirational cards to slip inside. Each child will have a chance to create up to 5 different kits.

The Sharing Shelf is teaming up with Ethan Allen and the GEICO Local Office in Yonkers to collect new backpacks and school supplies for low-income, local children and teenagers throughout the county.
The Sharing Shelf’s Backpacks to School initiative is built on a network of community partners all committed to the same goal – to ensure that all children and teens, regardless of economic circumstance, can enter the school doors with the tools they need.
The Sharing Shelf launched its 12th annual Backpacks to School initiative this week to provide new backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies to children and teens living in poverty in Westchester County.
In June, The Sharing Shelf brings the joy of Teen Boutique to teens in Larchmont/Mamaroneck in partnership with the Community Resource Center.

Share the joy of the holidays with children and teens living in poverty. Volunteers are needed to purchase gifts valued between $15-$25 for children ages 2 – 18.
