Sam began volunteering with us in July 2025 and has been an almost daily presence ever since, regularly volunteering every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after attending his exercise classes. He was motivated to join The Sharing Shelf because he loves our mission and wanted to be part of a place that make a difference in children’s lives by giving them dignity and self-worth through clothing.
Sam tackles every activity with a smile. He is a whiz filling our hygiene kits, creating our detergent sets, and checking and sorting incoming donations and purchases. A devoted father and grandfather, Sam loves to share stories of his wife, children and grandchildren while he works.
Lately, Sam has stocked our “sweet” corner in the office, replenishing it weekly with cookies and chocolate, ensuring our staff and volunteers have that little boost every afternoon.
