Our Spring Family Volunteer Day takes place Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Volunteers are core to The Sharing Shelf’s mission and allow our small staff make a transformative difference in the community. During this special event, we welcome younger children with their parents to introduce them to the power of volunteerism. We will have a morning full of activities and projects that let little hands lend a hand. Together, we’ll work to address clothing insecurity and meet the basic needs of local children and teens.
This spring we’ll once again focus on packing hygiene kits with sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner for children with textured hair. These items are essential but often overlooked, and they cost nearly four times more than standard products.
Yes, there is a donation to attend. Your contribution helps us purchase the hygiene and other essential products needed for a successful event. The kits we make at Family Volunteer Day will be distributed directly to the children we serve, ensuring they have access to the everyday care items they need.
Bring your family, invite your friends and neighbors, and be part of a meaningful day of service that makes a real difference in our community.
Please note that registration is required. There is no walk-in volunteering. Each child must attend with their own parent or legal guardian and children may not attend with a friend’s parent.
