Volunteers are the engine to The Sharing Shelf’s magic and we could not accomplish our mission without their dedication. In January 2026 we enjoyed meeting a group of dedicated eight teens and some parents from Blind Brook High School’s Roots & Shoots Club created by Jane Goodall.
Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots is a global movement dedicated to empower young people to make a positive change in their community. There are chapters around the United States and youth are encouraged to engage in local projects to transform their community.
These amazing teens got to work on a cold January Saturday sorting countless bags of donations, ensuring we have the quality clothing we need to combat clothing insecurity.
Join us as a volunteer and be part of our movement! Let’s make sure no child goes without a warm winter coat, a pair of sneakers or the new socks or underwear they need to feel confident and comfortable.
